Overview

Bilingual Volunteers Needed

The Irving Public Library will begin hosting a casual meet up called Conversaciones for people who would like to practice their English and Spanish speaking skills.

Volunteers are needed to assist in facilitating this group. This is not a formal class setting, but a casual conversational opportunity. Volunteers will be asked to help with conversation topics and keep conversation flowing. The goal of these events is to help attendees feel more comfortable with everyday conversational speaking in English and Spanish.

This group will meet once a month at the South Irving Library. A day of the week and time have not yet been determined. This may be decided by volunteer availability.

Volunteer applicants who are conversationally fluent in both English and Spanish and have experience with group facilitation will be given first consideration. Please submit the following applications to the volunteer program, making a special note that you'd like to be considered specficially for the Conversaciones program in the "Languaages" section.
