Recent Successes

Vibrant Economy
  1. The City awarded 78 grants to Irving small businesses, approved five economic development incentive agreements to support $178 million in new capital investment, and hosted 185 events at the Irving Convention Center in 2024.
Infrastructure Investment
  1. In addition to many other capital improvement investments, the team completed the following in FY23-24:
  2. Reconstruction and enhancements to Irving Boulevard
  3. The construction and grand re-opening of Central Fire Station, and the design of Fire Station No. 8
  4. Kicked off the Let's Play Irving initiative with the reconstruction of Lee Pool; and
  5. Improved 28 roads equivalent to 9.36 miles in year seven of the Road to the Future program


Sense of Community
  1. Launched the "Serving Irving with Pride" Customer Service Program for city employees.
  2. Hosted more than 43 recreational baseball, football, and soccer tournaments with an estimated 25,500 participants.
Government Stability
  1. Issued $121 million in General Obligation Bonds, $12.86 million in Certificates of Obligation, and $26.59 million in Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds to finance capital equipment and infrastructure projects
  2. Inspected approximately 60,000 water service lines for the EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions
Safe and Beautiful City
  1. Partnered with University of Texas at Arlington to launch a study to measure the effects of increased code enforcement in crime hot spots
  2. Transitioned to a Real- Time Crime Center that allows officers to respond quickly to crimes
