Building permits are required to erect, enlarge, alter, move, demolish or repair a structure in the City of Irving. Use the City of Irving’s online permit portal, MGO to apply for a permit. Refer to the Online Portal Tips page for instructions on how to create an account and use the platform.
Permits are not required for cosmetic work such as painting, carpeting and cabinetry, nor is it required for replacing fixtures or appliances, except water heaters, at existing connections.
