Trap. Neuter. Release. (TNR)

Trap Neuter Release (TNR) or Trap Neuter Vaccinate Release (TNVR)

Irving Animal Services offers a T.N.R. (Trap Neuter Release) Program

The City of Irving has a vast population of feral cats. TNR is the solution on how to control that growing population.

Irving Residents are able to bring 3 feral cats in individual humane live traps every Wednesday (unless stated otherwise). As long as the cat is healthy, it will undergo sterilization surgery, receive a rabies vaccine, receive a FVRCP vaccine and will be ear tipped as a visual that the cat has gone through TNR.

Residents also have the option to pick up our TNVR vouchers from the shelter during business hours. The voucher covers the spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, and the ear tip. These vouchers are through two separate companies and the surgeries are not performed at the animal shelter.
