Pet Adoptions

They say you can't buy love, but you can rescue it.

Despite ongoing construction, the Irving Animal Care Campus continues to facilitate numerous adoptions.

Irving Animal Services (IAS) is committed to matching pets with new families. Knowledgeable staff loves to help adopters find the right pet to fit their life.

Adopting from the Irving Animal Shelter is as easy as 1-2-3:
  1. Visit the shelter or view available animals online .
  2. Visit with the pets you are interested in at the Irving Animal Care Campus.
  3. Start your adoption process at the front desk with an IAS staff member.

Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid form of identification. Adoption fees apply

Foster to Adopt
  1. Heartworm Positive dogs-- Some of our available dogs will test positive for heartworms. Adopting a heartworm positive pup is also as easy as 1-2-3. You foster, we treat, you adopt!
  2. 7-day Foster to Adopt Trial -- Sometimes it can be a hard decision to make when adopting a new member of the family. The 7-day Foster to Adopt Trail helps in making that decision easier. You can take home a qualified cat or dog for a week to make sure it's the right fit before adopting!
