The City of Irving, in cooperation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has established a cross connection control program to protect your drinking water from harmful contaminants.
Annual Backflow Assembly Testing Requirement
Irving's Ordinance #8140 mandates that all customers with backflow prevention assemblies must have their assemblies tested annually. Regular testing helps protect the community's drinking water supply.
Important Update for Backflow Testers
Physical copies of test reports or tester registration applications/renewals are no longer accepted. All test reports must be submitted through the online backflow reporting system, SwiftComply. There are no fees associated with submitting test reports to the City of Irving.
