Irving hosts a FREE two-day celebration commemorating Independence Day, including a magical fireworks show over Lake Carolyn and a traditional hometown parade with a family-friendly, fun reception!

Two Days of Memory-Making Fun!

Keep July 3 and 4 reserved on your calendar for Irving's two-day holiday party honoring the birthday of the United States.


July 3 | 7 to 10:30 p.m.
July 4 | 9 a.m. to Noon

No Independence Day celebration is complete without a night of fireworks!


Join the community at Levy Event Plaza, 501 E. Las Colinas Blvd., at 7 p.m. for an evening that lights up the skies of Irving over Lake Carolyn. Gates open at 6:15 p.m. *Note: This event will be held on Thursday, July 3.*

  1. Don't forget to bring chairs and blankets.
  2. Plan ahead and arrive early!  Traffic pattern changes and road closures for the event may cause potential delays. Plan ahead, be aware of your surroundings and check the map before heading to the event .
  3. Coolers and alcohol are prohibited. Food and drinks, including alcoholic drinks, are available for purchase on-site. 
  4. Leave pets at home to avoid being frightened by the fireworks.
Can't Make the Show? Livestream it!

City of Irving will launch 525 drones into the sky for a breathtaking show followed by 19.5 minutes of heart-pounding fireworks accompanied by Independence Day-themed music.

Rideshare to the Event

Uber and Lyft drop-off and pick-up location is at the corner of Lake Carolyn Parkway and E. Las Colinas Boulevard, near Opitz Park, 680 Lake Carolyn Parkway.


Uber and Lyft riders are responsible for entering the correct rideshare location into their destination request. 


Note that traffic pattern changes for the event may impact the typical directions your rideshare driver is given.
