New and Enhanced Cricket Fields Opening this Spring

Construction on Irving’s cricket fields is nearing completion. The new cricket field at Sam Houston Trail Park, 101 E. Interstate 635, is open and available for reservations now. The new field at Mountain Creek Preserve, 1005 E. Hunter Ferrell Road, as well as the upgraded existing fields, are expected to open by late April. The existing adult field at Mountain Creek Preserve remains available for rentals.

Plans Continue for Fire Station 8

The City of Irving Fire Department continues its plans for the new Fire Station No. 8, which will relocate from 650 E. Las Colinas Blvd. to the site of the former DART Transit Station at 5601 Riverside Drive. Construction is expected to begin on the new $15.3 million fire station in January.
