The Irving Police Department values community feedback and encourages residents to share their experiences with our services.
Residents are invited to recognize the exemplary actions of our employees by submitting a commendation via the Internal Affairs Form. In addition, verbal commendations can be offered directly to any department supervisor.
If a resident believes an employee’s conduct was inappropriate, they may use the same form to report their concerns. This initiates an investigation into the matter. Residents may also request to speak with a supervisor at any police station or contact Internal Affairs directly.
While the department welcomes all feedback, it is challenging to conduct thorough investigations based on anonymous information. For those wishing to make an anonymous complaint, please call Internal Affairs to provide detailed information that can assist with the investigation.
The department also welcomes suggestions on how to improve services. Your input is valuable in helping us serve the community better.
This open line of communication reflects our commitment to accountability and continuous improvement in serving the City of Irving.
