Irving Awarded Three Financial Transparency Stars

Because of the City of Irving’s commitment to showing how tax dollars are budgeted and spent, reporting the financial health of the pension plans and the long-term debt obligations, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts awarded the city three Transparency Stars.

The city was recognized for the following:


  1. Traditional Finances
  2. Public Pensions
  3. Debt Obligations


The city previously participated in the Comptroller’s Leadership Circle which was replaced with the Transparency Stars. This is the thirteenth year the city has achieved recognition.


The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' Transparency Stars program recognizes local governments for going above and beyond in their transparency efforts through summaries, visualizations and downloadable data.
